I spent some time in Målselv painting our log cabins that we will be living in once the dog training season comes around. This is about 1.5 hours south of Tromsø in the wilds of Norway. Everywhere you explore there is a photo opportunity. It would have to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever set foot in. We were lucky to be there in late Spring to see all the trees/ferns/flowers starting to bloom.

Josh, these are incredible photos – I am green with envy. I am glad there was one with you included, you look very happy and content. How long do you stay in these cabins? Is this a summer location only and you’ll have to explain how the dogs are trained? It sounds exciting. I love reading your tales so please keep them coming. I have one of the dogs sitting on my desk from your cake, guess what he’s called? Anyway, enjoy and be safe. Luv Jen x
Hey Jen,
Looks like we’ll be heading out to the cabins sometime this week (early June) to build some dog kennels. Then in August we’ll be out there for good (or on a rotation basis with the other handlers) to train the dogs. There are some paths cut through the forest where we drive the dogs through on quad bikes – so should be very interesting!
Let me guess – the dog is called Josh?! 🙂
Hey Josh thanks for the photos. Wow fabulous scenery. It looks like you’re settling in well into the Norwegian Woods too. Keep the photos coming and the tales of your adventure. Looking forward to a video chat soon. xx Daddio
Eventyr !!
This is seriously like a fairy tale Josh.
Wow, Josh…breathtaking! So pleased you took this opportunity in this beautiful part of the world. Can’t wait to see it all when we come for our dogsledding tour! Luv, Mum x
